If a customer does not have a functional CD-ROM drive or the current @Home Installation CD, the @Home 1.5, 1.6 or 1.7 software can be
accessed from an @Home FTP site.
Please follow the instructions below. This process should be used only as a last resort. The FTP server is not a scalable solution. Instructions for Windows 98, 95, and NT

1. Close all open applications. 2. Click the Start button in Windows and then click Programs. 3. Choose MS-DOS Prompt. 4. Type "ftp ftp.home.net" 5. Type "install" when
prompted for a user name. 6. Type "install" when prompted for a password. 7. Type "bin". 8. For @Home 1.5: Type "get setup1532.exe". For @Home 1.6: Type "get
setup1632.exe". For @Home 1.7: Type "get setup1732.exe". 9. Type "quit".
10. The executable will be in the default directory typically c:\windows or c:\windows\desktop. If
c:\windows\desktop, then run it right off the desktop, if not just goto start - find files or folders and run the install after finding the file.
11. After installation is complete and your system has rebooted,
you can delete the file setup1532.exe / setup1632.exe / setup1732.exe or zip it and save to disk for later use. Instructions for Macintosh PowerPCs

1. Open the FTP client on the system. (If there is none on the system, one will need to be installed before proceeding). 2. Follow the application's instructions for navigating to an FTP site.
3. Connect with ftp.home.net. 4. Type "install" when prompted for a user name. 5. Type "install" when prompted for a password. 6. Navigate to the following location:
ftp://ftp.home.net/install/ATHM16/mac /. 7. For @Home 1.5: Download athome15ppc.sit. For @Home 1.6: Download athome16ppc.sit. For @Home 1.7: Download athome17ppc.sit. 8. Close the FTP client and all
other applications. 9. Run the executable that was downloaded. 10. After installation is complete and your system has rebooted, you can delete the file athome15ppc.sit / athome16ppc.sit / athome17ppc.sit.
